NTPC Hydro Limited (NHL) may award the civil and hydro-mechanical works for the 171 MW Lata Tapovan hydro electric project (HEP) in Uttarakhand by April this year.
The wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC had invited fresh bids for these packages after cancelling the previous tender, which was floated in November 2008, due to a variety of reasons including high bids offered by the firms.
The scope of work in the contract shall include planning, design and engineering and execution of civil and infrastructure works, review of all available reports and studies, manufacture, fabrication, assembly, testing, inspection, transportation, erection, supervision and commissioning of all project equipment.
NHL said the notice inviting tender (NIT) for the electro-mechanical (E&M) package will be available and price bids would be invited for the same after 6 months of the award of civil package
